Plantar Fasciitis Treatment in New York City
Foot & Ankle Physical Therapy at Our Manhattan Locations
Lifestyle Physical Therapy treats plantar fasciitis at two Manhattan locations, Park Avenue and the Garment District, as part of our foot and ankle physical therapy services. Our approach accounts for what New York City actually demands of your feet: long walks, crowded subway platforms, and commutes that rarely involve a seat.
Heel pain that greets you every morning doesn’t have to stay that way. Call us at (212) 577-9313 to schedule a plantar fasciitis evaluation at either Manhattan location. How We Structure Plantar Fasciitis Care
From your first visit through discharge, you work with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy. There’s no hand-off to an aide or assistant mid-treatment. Sessions run up to 60 minutes and are one-on-one, so the full appointment stays focused on you.
The initial evaluation covers your medical history and activity level, followed by a hands-on assessment of joint mobility, muscle strength, balance, and gait. For patients who walk significant distances or rely on stairs and public transit every day, we also review footwear and walking mechanics to understand how those demands may be contributing to your pain.
Treatment Techniques & NYC Functional Rehab
Treatment combines stretching, strengthening exercises, and therapeutic modalities to reduce pain and support healing. You’ll also receive a structured home exercise program to extend progress between visits.
As symptoms improve, exercises advance toward the movements city life requires. Single-leg balance work, step-downs, and simulated subway steps build the stability and load tolerance that can carry over to real-world tasks. Foot and ankle patients may experience meaningful improvement over time, though more complex cases may take longer.
